Testimonials about the Rum Runners Tour

What a fantastic time everyone had on our tour. One of the girls said it best …..not only was it so very informative, but we added 10 years to our life from laughing. The cast and crew were tremendous and I would highly recommend the Rum Runner’s tour to anyone who has not yet taken it…..in fact I have already mentioned it to about 9 people in the Windsor area.

Thank you also for working with me when things changed so drastically from our original plan….I guess sickness and injury cannot be helped. I especially appreciated the extra work you had to put in to organize the bus instead of the trolley. It couldn’t have worked out better!

Again, thank you so much for showing people from all over Canada and the U.S. such a wonderful time!

Sincerely,
Rose Kowalewicz

I wanted to write to thank you for your welcoming hospitality during our staff outing. The office was buzzing this morning with nothing but great things to say about the tour. Please extend our gratitude to all of the characters we meet along the way, we had a great time!

Deb Parker, Collins Barrow.

Hello Mark and Cast:
We took your tour on May 18th and found it to be totally outstanding. We enjoyed ourselves immensely and would – and have – recommended it to all that we meet.
The cast of characters were terrific, the food was great and so much great information about a by gone era.
We want to wish you, Bennie “The Weasel, “Yorkie”, Reverend Spracklin , the Temperance Lady, “Fingers”, the Policeman, the Speak Easy lady and Rev. Spracklin’s alter ego, King Canada the very best in the future. Each of you were terrific and made for a very memorable, informative and enjoyable day.
For all the 5 hours of entertainment, touring and a very nice lunch, in my opinion the tour was underpriced – it was worth more.
Wishing you all the best.

On Thursday, Annette and i joined the Livonia Senior Travel Club for an entertaining and educational experience presented by “Encore Productions of Windsor”: a Rum Runners Tour. While we did learn about Prohibition, the 1920s, and more, we spent most of the day laughing as we traveled to various historic sites in our neighbor to the south. If you have a group of 30-40 friends interested in this unique topic, you might want to visit their website, www.rumrunnerstour.com, or email them at info@rumrunnerstour.com Best wishes for a wonderful summer of enjoyment and education! – Dr. Jim McConnell, Editor, MCHE E-Notes

Mark, your troupe did a great job at our conference, providing an entertaining education to people from across Canada. Definitely a highlight of the event!

“I just had to write to say how much my friends and I enjoyed your tour. The characters were supurb and everything was done in such a way that we really felt like we were back in those times. All the facts and information were astonishing to us who knew so little about it all. Windsor and surrounding area had quite an intriquing history to say the least. We got to see some of Windsor and being inside the Hiram Walker buidling was a feast for the eyes. How amazing that most everything has been left as it was and the tasting was certainly a treat. What a great way to spend a day. We loved it and would highly recommend it to everyone! And ladies make sure you take your man with you. He will not want to miss out on this one. We are all talking about coming back to see more of the area and bringing others to do your tour. Awesome!” – Trudy, Kitchener

“Our group of eight took the tour on September 25, 2010. The combination of humor and history made it enjoyable and informative at the same time. Thank you again for a great day…
we are still talking about it.” – Sheila

“Thank you for the wonderful, exciting and informative afternoon. My wife and I enjoyed the tour very much.” – Brian
